Boarding Caregivers

  • Chris L'Heureux

Chris started with us in 1992 when our boarding kennel was in its early years. She quickly earned the status of Assistant Manager of the kennel, and she has been the Kennel Manager since 2001.  She has assembled a friendly, efficient staff of workers that keeps our boarding pets warm, clean, dry, well fed, well exercised , and happy.

  • Gloria Veloza

Gloria was a client of Sakonnet Veterinary Hospital since the '70's.  One day she asked us if we needed any help, and she has been working for us ever since.  She spends most of her part time hours cleaning in our hospital ward and providing comfort for our hospitalized patients.

  • Lisa Greene

Lisa has been one of our Night Attendants for several years. Through a series babies, moves, and husband's career changes, Lisa has come back to us again and again.  She is one of our many long-term keepers.

  • Lubelia Costa

Lubelia is the newest member of our Night Attendant staff.  She is competent, reliable, and friendly:  characteristics that are required for this position.  Lubelia works a full-time day job in a management position, so we feel lucky to have her on our staff.

  • Jerry Ruthowsky

Every busy business needs a maintenance man, and Jerry has been our man since 1996.  He repairs and replaces appliances and fixtures and does an untold number of maintenance jobs that help to keep us up and running smoothly.  Jerry was born deaf, but he has lived long enough for technology to overcome his condition:  he had a cochlear implant in 2001 that restored his hearing to nearly normal!

  • Justin Xavier

A college student, we have been fortunate to have Justin on our kennel staff for several years.  He is reliable, conscientious, and very good with the pets which are left in our care.

  • Jennifer Braga

Jen started with us as a high school student and she has continued to work with us through her college years.  She provides excellent care for our boarders, and she is a thorough, reliable, and diligent worker.  She does this so quietly and unassumingly that her work might go unappreciated, but it doesn't!

  • Samantha Ohsberg

Samantha is in high school and works in our kennel on a part-time basis.  Sammie always has a smile on her face!

  • Benjamin Croft

Ben is a high school student who works in our kennel on a part-time basis.  We have known Ben for a long time, so he seems like a long-term employee.
